How firearm orders work
1. Order online. Choose your firearm and check out. Your card is authorized but not charged.
2. Choose your FFL dealer. Select a licensed dealer near you at checkout. We verify every licence against the ATF eZ Check database before shipping.
3. We ship to your dealer. Firearms are shipped to your dealer, never to a home address. Your card is charged when the item ships.
4. Complete the transfer. Your dealer will have you complete ATF Form 4473 and run a background check. Bring valid government-issued photo ID. Your dealer may charge a transfer fee, which is paid directly to them and is not included in our price.
If your dealer is not on file
If we have not previously received a copy of your dealer’s licence, we will contact them directly. This can add one to two business days.
Shipping costs and times
Shipping is calculated at checkout on every order. The exact cost depends on the item, its weight and dimensions, the carrier, and the destination. You will see the amount before you pay. We do not offer free shipping.
- In-stock items usually ship within one to two business days
- Drop-shipped items ship directly from our distributor and timing varies
All firearm shipments are insured and require an adult signature.
Ammunition
Ammunition ships by ground only and cannot be shipped by air. Some states and localities restrict or prohibit ammunition shipments. Please see our Compliance page for details.
Non-firearm items
Accessories, optics, parts and apparel ship directly to your address by standard carrier.
Tracking and damage
You will receive tracking by email once your order ships. If a package arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photographs before accepting or opening it where possible.
International orders
Retail orders placed through this website ship within the United States only. Export sales are handled separately as a quoted transaction and are subject to U.S. export control law. See our Export Policy.
Incoming transfers from another FFL dealer
We accept incoming firearm transfers at our Orlando location. Our transfer fee is $25 per firearm.
We accept shipped transfers only from licensed FFL dealers. We do not accept mailed transfers from private individuals. We manage licence exchange and transfer records through Master FFL.
Tell us before the firearm ships
Contact us at (407) 690-1009 or contact@nonaguns.com with your name, telephone number and a description of the firearm before your dealer sends it. Two things follow from this:
- A firearm that arrives with no prior information about the buyer will not be received. We cannot match it to a customer, so it will be refused and returned to the sender.
- A firearm that arrives without a copy of the sending dealer’s FFL is subject to an additional $25 fee, on top of the transfer fee, to cover obtaining and verifying that licence before we can log the firearm in.
The transferring dealer should include with the shipment a copy of their FFL, together with the name and telephone number of the customer receiving the firearm, matching what you gave us in advance.
Florida requirements
A transferred firearm must satisfy both federal law and Florida law before we can release it to you.
- You must be at least 21 years old. Under section 790.065(13), Florida Statutes, a licensed dealer may not transfer any firearm to a person under 21, with narrow statutory exceptions for law enforcement officers, correctional officers and servicemembers purchasing a rifle or shotgun. This is stricter than federal law, and it applies to every transfer completed at our counter.
- A mandatory waiting period applies. Florida imposes a waiting period between purchase and delivery at retail, excluding weekends and legal holidays, under Article I, Section 8 of the Florida Constitution and section 790.0655, Florida Statutes. Statutory exceptions include holders of a valid Florida concealed weapon licence, trade-ins, and holders of a qualifying hunter safety certificate. We will tell you which applies to your transfer.
- You must pass the required background check and complete ATF Form 4473 in person with valid government-issued photo identification.
If a firearm does not meet Florida or federal requirements, it will be returned to the transferring FFL at the customer’s cost, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Pickup, storage and abandonment
- When your firearm has been logged into our bound book we will call you. Please make sure your voicemail is set up and able to receive messages. Carrier tracking showing delivery does not mean the firearm is ready — it is ready when we call you.
- You are expected to collect your transfer within 10 days of being contacted.
- After 10 days, a storage fee of $10 per day accrues beginning on the 11th day.
- After 30 days, the firearm is considered abandoned and will be absorbed into store stock with no further compensation to the customer.
Other terms
- We do not process transfers of NFA or Class III items.
- If you are denied when picking up a transfer, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping to the transferring FFL as well as the $25 transfer fee.
- Firearms are released only to the customer identified to us before shipment and named on the shipping paperwork.
By having a firearm shipped to Nona Guns you confirm that you have read and accept this transfer policy.
